Information submission status of Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products (China RoHS) Release Time:2023-10-16

According to the "Administrative Measures for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" (Order No. 32 of 2016 by eight departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) and the "Implementation Arrangements for the Conformity Assessment System for the Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" (Order No. 23 of the State Administration for Market Regulation in 2019 Announcement No.) relevant regulations, 12 major categories of products such as refrigerators, washing machines, and televisions shipped or imported after November 1, 2019, must carry out conformity assessment for the restricted use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, and submit the results to the electrical and electronic products Restriction of Hazardous Substances (China RoHS) public service platform.

The China RoHS public service platform was built by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration for Market Regulation and was officially launched in December 2019. It is used to uniformly manage conformity assessment information on the restricted use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, publish conformity assessment results, and has conformity assessment capabilities. Information submission, public inquiry, statistical analysis, information release and other functions.


As of the end of September 2023, a total of 1,332 companies had uploaded 17,208 pieces of conformity assessment information on the platform, involving 26,174 products.


China RoHS


The full name of China RoHS is "Administrative Measures for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electronic and Electrical Products", also known as China RoHS for Electronic and Electrical Products. It is a mandatory certification standard for electronic information products. It is the Chinese government's restriction on hazardous substances in electronic and electrical products. According to regulatory requirements, this standard applies to all electronic and electrical products sold in China, including imported products and domestic products.

When the content of harmful substances in the product reaches the standard, a green e mark will be affixed to the product; when the harmful substances in any material in the product exceed the standard, an orange label will be affixed to the product. The number in the orange label is the environmental protection service life, indicating the product During normal use, the harmful substances contained will not leak out within this period of time.
