Release Time:2023-12-08 On November 22, 2023, the European Union officially released the latest revised version of the ecological design regulations for household clothes dryers EU 2023/2533. This regulation will officially take effect on January 1, 2024.
Combined with the EU 2023/2534 energy efficiency labeling regulations for household clothes dryers that the EU had already formulated on July 13, 2023, the EU has now formed a complete new version of the energy efficiency regulations and control system for household clothes dryers.
Main contents of regulations:
●(EU)2023/2534 Energy Label: The current (EU)392/2012 will be abolished on June 30, 2025. However, the printed labels supplied with tumble dryers and the product information sheets on the EPREL website should use the new version from 1 March 2025.
●(EU)2023/2533 Ecological design requirements: The current (EU)932/2012 will be abolished from June 30, 2025. However, from December 12, 2023, the following circumvention measures are prohibited:
ØDesign measures to monitor the product being tested and change the test status;
ØSpecify specific testing requirements;
ØDesign measures to change products already in use within a short period of time.
Performance level requirements change:
●The requirement for the arrow mark of energy efficiency procedures in the old regulations has been cancelled, and "eco" has been used as a special procedure for energy efficiency testing;
●The condensation efficiency of the condensing drum dryer should not be less than 80%;
●Starting from May 9, 2027, the shutdown power consumption of household clothes dryer products will be adjusted from the original 0.50W limit to the 0.30W limit. This move will greatly affect the electrical performance of clothes dryer products in the research and development stage. design;
●Added power consumption requirement not to exceed 4.00W in delayed startup state;
●The energy efficiency label is switched from A+++-D level to A–G level;
