ISO Issued New Toy Safety Standard ISO 8124-3:2020/ Amd 1:2023 Release Time:2023-04-18

On March, 2023the International Standards Organization (ISO) issued a new version of the standard ISO 8124-3:2020/Amd 1:2023 Safety of toys-Part 3: Migration of certain elements. The new version effect immediately.



Compared with the old version, the new version of ISO 8124-3:2020/Amd 1:2023 is revised as follows:

Replace Table 1 and Table 2 ,the new tables are shown in table 1 and table 2.

Added the following content: Slime is not to be dewaxed.

Annex D3

Added the following content:

Explain the reasons for the migration limit of barium (Ba) in molded clay has been raised from 250mg/kg to 350mg/kg;

Explain the reasons for the maximum migration limit requirement for boron (B) added to molded clay, putty and slime.
